HUMANKIND is a historical strategy game where you will combine cultures and rewrite the entire narrative of human history to build a unique civilization.

Humankind is the 4X game compared to the Civilization series. Players rule by expanding their civilizations, developing their cities, controlling military and other types of units, interacting with other civilizations, over six great eras, starting with the nomadic era. The distinctive feature of the game is that players choose one of ten civilization types based on historical societies in each era. This selection offers both bonuses and penalties for how players can build civilization. There are multiple regions on a continent in the game, and players can only build one city in this region. Over time, they can expand the city by adding farms and other external resources, as well as denser urban areas closer to the city centre. This allows for the creation of large metropolises for each region.Players may also need to engage in battle with enemy units. Food, gold, science etc. resources are consumed to speed up the production of each unit, to advance technology, to trade with other cultures. Unlike games like Civilization, victory in Humankind is based on fame points only after a predetermined number of rounds.

Create Your Civilization - Combine up to 60 historical cultures as you lead your people from Ancient to Modern. The transition from humble origins as a Neolithic tribe to Antiquity as Babylonians, Classical Mayans, medieval Umayyads, Early Modern English, etc. each culture adds its own unique layer of gameplay with almost endless consequences.
More Than History, Your Story - Confront historical events, make effective moral decisions and make scientific breakthroughs. Explore the natural wonders of the world or build humanitys most remarkable works. Each game element is historically unique. Combine them to create your own vision of the world.
Leave Your Mark on the World - The journey is more important than the destination. Fame is a new and unifying condition of victory. Every great deed you do, every moral choice you make, every battle you win will increase your reputation and leave a lasting impression on the world. The player with the most fame wins the game. Will you be the one to leave the deepest mark in the world?
Expert Tactical Combat on Land, Sea, and Air - Every battle in Humankind is played like a mini turn-based board game on a real-world map. Unleash your armies and command each of your units, including emblematic units and special abilities of your culture. Craft siege weapons to besiege and occupy cities.
Customize Your Leaders - In Humankind, you play the leader of your people as your own created and customized avatar. As your civilization evolves, so does your avatar visually. Level up your leader with meta-progress that unlocks special skins you can show off to strangers and friends alike in multiplayer matches for up to 8 players.
