MessageLock is an add-on software for Microsoft Outlook that allows the email sender to protect their email using strong AES-256 bit encryption. To use MessageLock software, open a new e-mail message in Microsoft Outlook and click the Encrypt e-mail” button in the Outlook e-mail toolbar. This software will work almost seamlessly if MessageLock is available to both sender and receiver. When sending an email to someone who does not have MessageLock, you have 4 ways to send your message privately and securely to that person:

• Using Lockbin message locking service: Lockbin.com is a free service that stores your email and file attachments until the recipient receives them.
• Send using zip-compatible encryption: This method requires the user to have a zip tool (such as Peazip.com or Winzip) to decrypt the MessageLock file and access the content.
• Using the MessageLock decoder: With this method, you can open .ml256 files created by MessageLock. After the user downloads the decoder, they can simply click .ml256 to open the file and see the message.
• Sending a self-decrypting file: For this method, you create a self-decrypting .exe file. When this file is run, it prompts the recipient for a password. .
